This is made from a silk that I have had for about 8 years. I had yards and yards of it. It has for me a narrative about where I got it, what I’ve used it for, and the ups and downs of liking it and not liking it. For this pillow I’ve washed the silk and dried it and then ironed giving it a rich patina. I’ve showed it to you before but I’m running short.
Linen, Christopher Farr Cloth Fabric remnant with embroidered text. Vintage silk thread purchased for me in some Paris flea market. Gertrude was right, Romance is Everything.
The quote is an inscription from a 17th c silver snuff box.
