Harlequin Scarf

September 26th, 2007

Daniel Pontius

A harlequin in a variety of poses within a diamond border. It was one of four of a lot I found from the same unknown maker that I used to have in my collection for pattern inspiration. They were perhaps from the 40’s. There was also a chariot and driver in greens and whites, a Parisian lady in turquoise and dark blues and another in greys and blacks with a motif I can’t quite recall. The Harlequin scarf sold to a roommate of Laura from whom I used to live across the street in Brooklyn. She came back the second day to buy more fabric with her roommates and has what sounds like an amazing job with Dimitros Design as an archivist. What are the chances?
