Pint of Kindness

December 31st, 2009

Daniel Pontius

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup! and surely I’ll buy mine! And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne.

Only 14 oz, here, but still beautiful. 18th century, Yorkshire, to paraphrase the dealer’s information, large “wrigglework” initials ‘IC’ to right of handle, and punched ‘FR’ to left. It has concentric incised lines under base, incised line just below rim, and a pair of incised lines to mid body which points towards being from Yorkshire. 4⅛” to rim & 4¼” high overall.

Happy New Year!
